Camp Hours

Horseback Riding Camp runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 - 5:00 - Half day camp runs either mornings 9:00 - 1:00 or afternoons 1:00 - 5:00 - central to Orangeville, Caledon, Brampton, Alliston, Shelburne, Bolton

Check home page events for weeks available for horseback riding summer day camp - will update the list when the weeks are full - maximum ten full time campers per week

What to Wear and Bring

Wear pants and sturdy footwear - no shorts, sandals, or tennis socks - pack a hoodie, extra pants, tops and socks - lots  of food and drinks  

Riding Equipment

We provide helmets, boots, half chaps and gloves - you are welcome to purchase your own - contact us for advice on what and where to buy 

Cost of Camp

One week of full horseback riding summer day camp is $452 - half day camp is $305 - watch website for discount details when purchasing multiple weeks

Who should go to Camp

Kids who love horses of course! 5 to 15 yr olds enjoy our camp - we run programs for experienced riders and beginners and everything in between

What will my Child do at Camp

Campers spend the morning in a riding lesson, snacking, handling horses, and studying horsemanship - then lunch - afternoons are spent with another horse activity which could be riding, hacking, riding bareback, mounted games - arts and crafts time  is in the afternoon too - more snacks - tidy up then and prepare for home

Horsefeathers and Ponytales Day Camp is located at Cantercall Riding School, on fifty acres of field and forest, next to the Humber River.

Facility

Stabling for 25 horses and ponies, tack rooms, heated lounge, indoor washroom, wash stall, indoor arena, outdoor sand ring, cross country field, fields for hacking

Camp Director

Lauryn Tambling has been managing camps for kids for several decades.   Her passion is a love for children and  horses and her desire to help riders reach their goals. 

Camp Instructor

Emily White Williams has been helping campers learn about horses and riding for close to ten years.  She provides safe, meaningful and fun experiences for campers of all riding levels

Many teens have a great summer spending several weeks helping kids with horses, and earn themselves some riding to boot!  Please contact us if you are a teen or know a teen who would be interested in some fun with us this summer - great work experience
